SMS Consent Flow
This page documents the transactional/service-request SMS opt-in used by Job Lead Recovery when a participating business misses an inbound voice call. A voice call by itself does not enroll the caller in automated SMS.
Missed-call flow
The call is routed to the business's configured forwarding number.
The caller may press 1 to consent, press 2 to decline, or hang up.
If the caller presses 1, Job Lead Recovery records the consent event before sending the first recovery SMS. If the caller presses 2, provides no input, or hangs up, no automated recovery SMS is sent.
After a caller explicitly opts in to the service-request SMS program, later service requests they initiate with that same business may use the stored consent without repeating the IVR prompt. A later STOP or other recorded revocation overrides stored consent.
The messages concern service inquiries the caller initiates with that business, requested follow-up, qualification and booking-related conversation. They are not an enrollment in unrelated marketing.
Exact IVR disclosure
Consent evidence retained
For an affirmative IVR opt-in, Job Lead Recovery records the recipient phone number, participating business, timestamp, call identifier, DTMF choice, consent method, message subject, program identifier, script version and the disclosure text presented at the time of consent. When valid stored consent is reused, that reuse is logged with a reference to the original consent. Declined, no-input and opt-out outcomes prevent reuse.
Initial confirmation/service message
Opt-out and help
Recipients can reply STOP to opt out. Supported opt-out requests are placed on a suppression list and pending automated follow-ups are cancelled. Recipients can reply HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies with the active service-request conversation.
